First, Tom, thanks for your reply on torque tube assemblies. Joe - the propeller shaft somehow came off of (I assume) splines on the differential. I pushed the torque tube assembly back off of the transmission and figured that it was a connection problem on the far end because turning the propeller shaft did not make a tire spin! With lots of cursing, crap falling in my eyes, and general aggrevation I was able to sort of pull down on the yoke and use the rubber trunnion as a fulcrum, therein lift the far end of the shaft within the tube. Had to guess where "centered" was and it just bobbed up and down a lot! That shaft is heavy and like 4 or 5 feet long, and I only had about 4" of yoke/female spline receiver for leverage, but after an hour or so of screwing around, it just slide right in. Last night I reconnected the last few things (panhard, e-brake cable, rear brake hose) and found a spot of anti-freeze under my engine . . . eeek! Now I have to pull that water pump and replace it! It's probably just the gasket, but honestly with the original water pump on the car, I would just as soon replace the entire component, and it's only like $30 or $40 at Napa. At least I do not have to lie on my back on the cold concrete for that job. - Justin >Date: Sat, 17 Dec 2005 19:50:28 -0500 >From: farna@xxxxxxx >Subject: Re: Got it together >To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx >Message-ID: <ADVANCES62RGryWtIIZ00000006@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >I'm glad you got it fixed, but what the heck was the problem??? >>On December 17, 2005 Justin Shelton wrote: >> Okay, I got the torque tube and all put together!
