That's the prevailing thought, but I'm thinking it's more along the line of software. If the price is very reasonable, there will be less copying. Some who get an illegal copy will later buy one, or show it to someone who will. Software makers have complained about copyright infringrment, and use that as an wxcuse to post higher prices. I don't recall the company, but someone actually repoted they were going to do the opposite -- REDUCE prices to combat piracy! It makes sense. I'll buy a program that does what I want for $50, but when there's a $250 price tag on it I look for alternatives. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll make a copy, but I'll go ahead and admit that I have at one time or another. I'm happy to report that none of the stuff I use now is an illegal copy! In fact, I can't think of anything I've copied and done more than used a few times. If I'm satisfied with something I! "borrowed" a copy of, I'll generally buy it later. I'm not about to pay $100+ for software that doesn't do what I need. If a demo version has enough features to really test it out, I'll use that. Most companies have demos now -- I haven't copied anything in years! ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
