Andre, I was disappointed mainly because they left out so many details, but as you noted -- they do it for all makes. It wasn't a really bad article, just could have been so much better. I was disappointed in it is all. Yes, the oiling problem you mentioned (to much in the head at sustained high rpm) is the only real problem the AMC V-8s have. The valley oil line routes a bit more to the back of the engine before it hits the lifter valleys so the rear main and rod bearings get enough oil (I know you're aware of that). It could have been the drag racers that discovered the fix. I always thought that either Donohue or TRACO came up with it after the AMX endurance run or the first few T/A races.
