I have to agree John. I have never seen someone weld the sides of the big end like that to make up the clearance. Also, if they would have asked around, they would have known that we have good forged rods for 360s out there that would have saved a bunch of money in the build. I am a little skeptical on some of their prices listed. The machine shop bill seemed way too cheap and was missing a number of things that would have been needed in a build like this. The one picture on the second page shows an engine with Indy heads and a Hogan sheet metal aluminum intake which was not mentioned at all. All in all though, one of the more accurate AMC engine builds I have seen in a magazine.
