And a good one Tim! Most of the time I wouldn't recommend a Mac on the basis that software is hard to come by and more expensive -- kind of the AMC of computers even though Macs are still made. But IIRC it comes with basic word processing (kind of like Wordpad w/Windows) and a browser, so for replacing WebTV with something a little more flexibile it would be great. Something like MS Works (the Apple version, of course!) would make it perfect for basic computer use. Does it ship with something like that? Maybe I'll have to look. The newish Mac Mini might be the ticket!
