Re: Lost Posts

I have had the problem, but only when posting from the web-site. Post from your e-mail and there should be no problems. It has something to do with the new e-mail service that Jim Stone's ISP switched to, apparently. He's working the issue. If you have a longish post, use your e-mail to send it, or at least cut and paste it into a file so you can re-send later.

Note that occasionaly the e-mail service loses a post, but it still makes it through to the digest and those getting the list as individual mails. All is not lost just because it doesn't show up on the website. When you post using the website interface, the website sends the mail out as an e-mail through the site ISP to the AMC-List just as any member would by sending an e-mail. It does not post directly to the website. If Jim altered it to post directly to the site, the site would have double posts. It would post to the site, send to the list server, then get a message from the server to post again. Nothing is as simple as it seems it should be!!

Why spend the time to post if it never appears? I never have this problem with all the Yahoo groups I belong to. AMC content. I finished 2 of my detailed wheels and am going to my friends shop to paint the brake drums and install the wheels with the new lug nuts I bought yesterday.
