Nah, build a frame and body from scratch! T roadster style frames are easy. Then make a narrow single seater 20s Indy style body -- just a sheet of steel like an upside down U fastened to each frame rail. Well, not quite that simple, but close! I've simplified the idea "just a little". For a pic of what I'm really thinking (but not so elaborate in the back), check this link out: http://www.modelt.ca/index.html. I can see that turbo hanging out the side (lower than the old T manifold, about the height of the pipe running down the side, I'd guess) with a pipe running just below the driver's left elbow (be careful propping your arm on top of the "door"!!)...
