Turbo 400 question

I'm sending this to both lists.
I have one of the nailhead Jeep transmission cases slated for us in my 65 Ambassador. What do I need to get to convert this trans to two wheel drive configuration? The exact trans I have now is a 68 trans bolted to a 37,000 mile Vigilante V-8 and Dana 20 case. Yes I have it all and it is still bolted together sitting on my garage floor. I ask now because I stumbled on a NOS turbo 400 tailshaft housing, but don't know if I'm better off to buy a parts trans or just the housing and get the matching shaft later or even if I need an output shaft for this. The housing is 5 1/4" long or some such length inbetween 5 and 6 inches I don't recall the exact length. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,-
