Ok, first off, I've had bad luck with the carter yf carburators that I'm supposedly supposed to use. I had mechanics put 'em in, twice I've gotten carbs that just don't work well...the car will diesel and fail emissions. Are there any other carburators I can have put on there that are cheap? Also, anyone got a license plate light? Lately people have been getting ticketed for not having 'em and I can't afford the tickets. What license plate lights will fit? Ok, and back to the gas tank...the crack is on the bottom of the tank, right on one of the curves that I guess is pressed in to the steel to make it stronger. SO a flat plate won't really work. I like the stop hole suggestion, I've found a mechanic here who's fixed fuel tanks for others before and is going to repair this rather than me going and buying another fuel tank which I won't be able to inspect until it gets here...this tank was perfect until I left it with an old roommate over the summer while I was visiting my girlfriend out of state (2 years ago) and that roomie backed it over something that dented the tank and there's a hairline crack right at the dent...JB Weld held for about a year and a half the first time, and about 8 months the second time... it's driving me nuts. -Michael Tucson, AZ __________________________________ Yahoo!
