Went to my favorite low-priced U-pull-it parts yard today after the weekly grocery run for the parents, and looked for the emergency-brake variety of drink-holder for my '94 Cherokee from an earlier model.....no luck. I DID pick up a black sport steering wheel out of one ( for use on a Gremlin, maybe ). Went horn shopping next, found a nice 2-tone set in a Buick Park Avenue for the Jeep ( dang, that "beep" is annoying!). THen looked thru the trucks for van parts , nada. Hit the foreign side last, saw an old 2002 BMW sedan, thought about those round tail lights, went and checked...the housings were there, the lenses were gone, though. But, wait...they're about the same size as the Matador coupe tail lights....hmm...wonder if they'd fit? Well, the place is cheap enough. so since they were only held in teh trunk by the wiring, already unbolted, I went ahead and got'em both. Some small pitting, but in decent shape. I will match them up size-wise tomorrow, But I thought they'd look like a neat customization on a Mat Coupe. I'd thought about doing a Ferrari conversion on a Mat, as we used to work next door to them, I could have gotten a set of tail lights...probably still can. But I didn't then, now I have some nice BMW 2002 chrome housings with a 3-way split, I think they'd look nice on a Coupe. Would definitely be different! :) Jerry in Virginia, thinkin' again.... --------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Casper , owner of 16 AMCs 7 Gremlins / 2 Javelins / 1 Hornet / 1 Pacer 3 Matadors ( 2 coupes ) / 1 Spirit / 1/2 Eagle 1/2 Jeep Wagoneer <BGSOUND SRC="http://www.grsites.com/sounds/18791905/trains/trains002.wav" LOOP="3"> br> __________________________________ Yahoo!
