The guy just isn't that fluent on Ramblers like most of us here! After reading the ad a couple times, it sounds like he was just keeping it up as a neat old driver, no real "affliction" for it, just some "affection" because they've had it a while. It was obviously purchased as a cheap used car for daily use. So now it's not really needed for transportation and it's getting to wehre it needs a lot of attention. It's fairly priced, and the claims are more out of ignorance -- I don't think they are meant to intentionally mislead anyone. It might get 32 mpg just poking around town a bit, but not under anything like normal driving. The 232 should get better mileage in that size car than a 196 for sure! The 196 is just adequate for that size car... no offense Gwen! Once it gets going it's fine, of course. 

It would be the perfect companion for "little car", Gwen...
