The front end of a Jeep XJ (even 2WD) doesn't have bushings like a car front end. Basically it's a four link just like a big AMC car rear end. The bushings can wear out ad cause problems, of course. The shimmy is usually caused by big tires, worn u-joints, worn steering damper, or worn steering box. Big tires can be the cause of the others. The other parts just won't last as long with bigger, heavier tires and wheels to push around. I'd check the steering damper first. A lot of guys run dual dampers with big tires. There are several aftermarket dampers that are a bit tougher than the stock one. ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
