That's pretty much the case from my experience Ken. the main point is you DO NOT want to cruise with one of the 4.0L sixes at 3500 rpm for any length of time! Gas mileage would really suck. The engine would certainly take it, it's just not necessary. Either Road and Trakc or Car and Driver criticized the 4.0L as being "thrashy" during tests. Well, they were driving like a short stroke I-4, V-6, or V-8! No one knows how to drive a low rev, long stroke, high torque engine any more!! I get quicker times from my engine by NOT revving the H#$%% out of it!!
