If you read the editorials you'll note that I thought I might miss an issue in Korea or when moving. Well, moving did me in! I was all set, had an issue 20% done before leaving Korea, and about 30% before I moved my wife and kid up to Dover (I came back in March, had to wait until June to move them so kid could graduate). I was thinking I needed to back some files up, connected my USB CD burner, powered the laptop up, and the hard drive went! I wasn't having problems, just figured it was time to do some backups. The HD failed big time -- I lost the whole thing. This was about three weeks before the big move. So now I had to order a hard drive, rebuild the computer, move an entire house hold, get my family settled in, I was really just starting to get into my new job in contracting, AND I had to start over the next issue of AIM completely from scratch, with no material whatsoever to start with!! It was just to much -- I was overwhelmed! So issue #33 didn't go out in June or July, but will come out in mid October. I needed the break -- I was starting to feel some burn-out after eight years of printing AIM!! There will be a late December or January issue, then I'll get back on track with the late March to mid April issue. No one will miss anything -- I'll extend all existing subscriptions by one issue. Of course new subscribers won't be affected. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!)
