" HMMM, now to take a '67-9 American with 199/3 sp OD, figure out a PTO,

" different at the next car show...
i've often thought of making an eagle-american... i think it would be
quite possible to graft the eagle front diff in, but only with the
entire front frame horns, crossmember, inner fenders, and front
suspension - and then you're left with a track 2-3" wider than the
original at least. the diff can be mounted separately from the engine
- 4-cyl eagles did it.
simple way to get a pto would be t-14 with jeep mainshaft and t/c
adapter, and gutted d18 or d20 t/c. only place for the o/d is in the
pto hole though...
or you could adapt a t5 to the 199 and work something with a gutted
d300 or np207, or even fab something.
