Being disabled/retired for 17 years I have plenty of time. Patience I have developed over many 49 years of model buiding. I build model cars for relaxation. My friends think that is insane. It's the disabled part that has really slowed me down in the last 2-3 years. 10 years ago I could have knocked this job out in 3-4 months instead of the 8 it is going on now. It's my knowledge of paint and plastic from my model building that has made this interior job possible. Today I will check the fit of the inst. panel and just know I will have to tweak it. I still have to fudge the hand brake assembly bolt to the dash frame. If I force the bolt in and tighten it up it warps the opening for the inst. panel. I think elongating the hole in the hand brake bracket is the way to go. I have tried every adjustment I could do on the dash itself with no sucess. You don't want any tension on the plastic parts or they might crack from the car being used. When it is all assembled I will let it s! it in the sun for a few hours every day for a week or so with the windows closed except for an inch to let all the plastic parts heat up and twist/move to relieve any stress before I start driving it. I know I may seem a bit nut's but that's me. My motto is "Do it right once and forget about it" "Doc" ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
