Yeah, you either like the old cars or you don't. There was a big styling change in the early 60s. With AMC the break point was 1963 for the big cars, 64 for the smaller ones. Chevy was about 63 also, with 60-62 sort of transition years from bulky with fins to leaner and no fins. 64 was Fords big change year, again with 60-63 a transition period. Chrysler held onto fins through 1961, started transitioning to the "new squarer, no fin look" in 1962, then went over with the 1965 models. AMC had no real transition period, though the 62s were more or less a transition model (trimmed all vestiges of fins, dropped wheelbase of Ambo, and intro'd new front suspension). Now all those transition periods are somewhat debatable, especially for Chrysler, but that's where I think they are. I'm sure John Mahoney has some insite on my opinions! They had a few different tags like "SUPER" (I think was black & had a roll up rear window) but I am not sure. Just starting to learn about these wagons. Like most vehicle body styles, peolple either love em or think they are God awfull ugly! > Here's a link to what I am looking for. > > http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/1958_Rambler_Cross_Country.html > > > Benjamin > N.
