Try two cans of Dry Gas in the Tank. Sounds as if your Tank made rain or you paid for water. The engine usually runs well at low throttle, stumbles as you open it up & hit water in the bowls. Brien. NEW YORK eagle registry #501 eagle kammback registry From: JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: 304 Missing To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx I have been driving my 73 Javelin some. 304/auto. I just finished a restification project on it. I did rebuild the carb and put new distributor cap, points, condenser. I have timed it, etc. It idles well and runs OK at lower speeds but really stumbles either when you put your foot in it or almost anytime above 50 or 55 mph. It has the stock Motorcraft 2100/2150 carb. All vacuum lines have been replaced and I am pretty certain they are routed correctly. I did replace the power valve when I rebuilt the car due to a very rich idle condition. I plan to check the timing again tomorrow, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.
