A: The Landcruiser 6 cyl diesel still weighs about the same as an AMC V8, and I was considering one in my J4000 (but only for a minute. LPG is still a far cheaper option) I found a Toy diesel P/U with new motor for $2,000, but it has a std trans or I would do a swap into an XJ. (too much going on now with moving and lack of space to worry about it tho)

yup, very heavy iron iirc and 30 years behind current diesel
tech.

i should've been clearer - i meant a -modern- little six.
