Not much happening on the convertible front. Still in the planning stages. I am however begining to contemplate the amount of time and energy this project will require and question the feasibility of proceeding with it. If anyone would be interested in hauling off the whole pile, Please drop me a line! What I have is; 1965 880 convertible Ambassador,327,auto bucket seats console, rough shape from Indiana originally. Seems to have solid under body, needs quarter/cowl work, typical Ambo rust. 1965 990 parts car/junk, interior stripped barely any useable stuff. I have two four door classic quarters for repairing the quarters. 66 fenders, two doors in good shape, power window setup, needs motors, have all glass and regulaters from both the hardtop and convert. Tissue dispenser in fair to good condition. Tilt, floor shift steering column! Good condition with wheel, some cracking in thite area of wheel, otherwise good. 4 wire "R" hubcaps in driver condition with dinged rings. 990 car has A/C still in place. No compressor and will need major cleaning! Two AM/FM radios, one goes with car, buyers choice, the other will go to my brother. Engines, 1 287 60,000miles, good? 1 327 106,000 miles needs rebuilt, 1 327 62,000 miles in flood car, needs rebuilt or at least cleaned out as the oil pan is full of mud! None of the engines are siezed, all have enough parts to make run. includes one complete four barrel setup, one two barrel intake is available IIRC. 2 automatic Borg warner transmissions in unkown condition, 1 62,000 mile in flood car, no sign of moisture on dipstick. 2 rear axle assemblys, one twingrip in 990 flood car, unknown if water damaged. Convertible axle is unknown as to twingrip or not. This stuff will all need work to make a complete car! At best expect the whole pile to make one respectable convertible, I am aiming for a "RATROD" or "PRIMEVIL" type of 60's custom in semi gloss or Satin finish if it ever actualy sees paint! I will sell the above mentioned parts and cars for $1500 firm. They are located in Morgantown, WV. I will continue working towards actualy doing this car, but if anyone is interested in it. I would like to see it go to a new home!!!! Contact me with any questions and I can try and provide pics as time allows. Those of you that have followed the parts chase for this car may know I have bought other items for it, such as the Jeep 327 with 37,000 miles and the turbo 400 trans. These items are NOT INCLUDED for $1500. They would require negotiations as to price and availability only if the convertible and it's parts are sold!!! Some of the parts are still in the 990 flood car body and buyer will need to either remove the parts or whole car. I can have the body hauled off if you wish to leave it, no problem.
