Facks is facks. One thing I've wondered about is, Lightning strikes are free...why not build a Superconducting storage facility in Tornado Alley, and build huge-mongous towers to "encourage" strikes, then absorb the energy into the Superconductor/battery? If Superconductors can exist, why not build a huge storage unit and let lightning charge it? A couple hundred million volts every storm would help solve the "energy" problem of cracking H2O, it seems to me. Of course, i'm no Physicist, so have no idea of the technical problems involved, but since the static discharge comes free, and it would only take a few strikes to garner alot of "free" energy, when are our "future thinkers" going to try to use it? If we can use dinosaur stew to power our cars, can't we use static discharge as well? C'mon, inventors, get "cracking"!
