Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You're correct, I too think it looks like a cross between a Cherokee and a Hummer, but luckily it has it's "mother's" (assuming the Chero was the mother...) looks more than the "father's". Most importantly, it looks more like a REAL JEEP than the Liberty. Probably because the original XJ Cherokee was pretty well accepted by most Jeep fans from the start. If it had replaced the big SJ immediately it may have had the same reception as the Liberty (which replaced the XJ in just a year or two, and that was well publicized).
