Jesse,

Despite its obvious external differences, I think the
coupe shares most mechanical parts with the full size
sedans and wagons.  So, the crossmember from the
Ambassador SHOULD work.

If not, I have a V8 crossmember from a '77 coupe which
you KNOW will fit.  I think it still has the engine
mounts attached to it.  Has some dents on the bottom
side, but still a good usable part.  Needs paint.

Even with the engine already long gone, this thing was
a real b***h to remove!

SO, is it as easy to put an 8 in a Coupe as the smaller
AMCs?  (just swap the xmember and fuel line)

Is so, what other vehicle V8 crossmembers will bolt onto
the coupe?  I know where there's a picked over 4 door
Ambo that might yield a decent xmember.
