Thought I might post these items here and see if anyone is interested.. CHROME VALVE COVER ======================================== Chrome Valve Cover appears to have been made in Taiwan and has the three openings on top, 2 of which are baffled. There are 3 flange holes on one side and 2 on the other, and one at each end. ------------------------------------------ John Elle states: "I have installed valve covers similar to this on AMC I-6 engines. They are adequatly made, I have had no problems with them. They look really cool with long studs rather than the short screws to mount them to the head. These are available from catalogs or an acc. section of a local performance shop. Around here Checkers may carry them. These studs will have little V shaped washers to fit into the mounting flange on the valve cover and the T handle at the top is spined so you can remove it and position them in a cosmetic pleasing position. The 3 holes in the valve cover may be an odd size depending on a few things. 2 of the holes are PCV and vent holes (the tube that goes to the air cleaner. I have used rubber Corks, used by Jeep V6 in the '60's or GM engines from the 60's and 70's. The third hole is oil add hole. The rubber cork is an oil cap for that application. Purchase 3, use one for the oil cap and the other two you can core holes into the rubber to fit the PCV valve and the fitting for the rubber hose that goes to the air cleaner. I have been purchasing these rubber corks from NAPA auto parts stores." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GASKET - VALVE COVER It to fit 232/258 AMC blocks.
