Copying this to the list. I looked at the drums from the Ambassador closer last night. I now see that they definitely will not work front to rear. Everythign is exactly the same till you come to back spacing then they are radically differnet. The rear drum has more nack spacing. Then it also appears the stud holes are larger. Center hole and overall diameter is the same and at a close glance they look like they will interchange, but no dice. Does anyone know if the Wagner and Bendix rear drums interchange??? Which cars got what? My Convertible is disc brake car, The Flood car is Drum brake car with twingrip. I will be using the flood car axle, if it survived as it has the easier to get aprts for brakes,lower mileage and twingrip. I won't know for sur etill I get it out from under the car and get it opened up for inpection.
