Saw this and just wondered what opinions were about-
A)- this particular seller and this specific radiator...
B)- 4 rows in general....who needs it?
C) Is performance really far batter than a factory 3 row?
I don't know...just found this..never knew anyone was making this...for AMC, especially. What's the scoop?
I think often a lot of times supersizing a component is done instead of working out what problems really are. Both of my cars have only two-row, and the Rambler has A/C, is heavy, and laden with gear, climbing mountains (7000+ feet) is generating a lot of heat.
I regularly change and flush the coolant, the radiator was new in 1995, with good hoses, and I maintain meticuluously (I change belts before the break) and it's adequate -- just so.
I will get a three-row (for all cars) as I buy new radiators (Rambler is due) but the determining factor isn't engine size, but heat output.
Cruising at a given speed/load, pretty much every engine is producing N BTUs of heat that gotta be disposed of. Towing etc is obviously a different story, but when the whole system is working right it's not that critical.
