250K is common on the 4.0L Jeeps, 150K on the EFI 2.5L. I don't think I'd give 10K for one w/150K on it though. They sell for much less up here in Delaware. It's only a couple hours away -- would be worth it to rent a car one way and drive up to save $2-3K! You can't fly in, there isn't an airport nearer than Philadelphia (a little over an hour away). You can take a Trailways bus -- it pulls in right outside the Dover Air Force Base. If you call one of these and make a deal, I'll be happy to arrange to pick you up somewhere in Dover one day, just drop me an e-mail. I bought my wife's used Volvo long distance. I ended up buying one an hour from home for the price I wanted. I had cash (which helped!), and told the guy if he didn't want to sell for that price there was one in Florida and one in Texas. I'd spend the extra on a plane ticket and go get one of them! So I paid him like $250 more than my original offer, about half what it would have cost me to fly over. When bargain shopping it's worth going out of state when you're pretty confident you can drive home. There are plenty people here on the list who will do a physical check for you. If you want on of the vehicles below, call. If it sounds good tell them you're out of state and will have someone come take a peek at it. Then call me. We can work something out where I can give them some money to hold it -- you can transfer $100 to my account or PayPal and I'll give it to them and pick you up at the bus station. Or if they'll hold it for you without any down that's better for you I'm ! sure! Whatever you do, don't look at Ford Explorers, not if you think you might ever want to tow a rented trailer with one. When I returned my U-haul trailer after moving up here, I noticed a sign saying U-haul WOULD NOT rent a trailer for a Ford Explorer -- any size or type. I asked about that, and the owner said it's U-haul company policy. To many Explorer owners blaming trailer damage on tires and U-haul had to take them to court to recoup damages! A few were possibly tires, but most were people jumping on the "let's blame someone else for my stupidity" band wagon. Ironically, they will rent for a Mountaineer (same thing w/Mercury badge). Fewer of them, and might have had different tires. 1996 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT, 4x4, a/c, am/fm cass. Luggage Rack, clean new radiator, one owner. 158k, red, tagged till 2007. $3,495 or best offer.
