I hadn't thought of the damper. I also think I may need to play with the toe in some. It is twitchy turning into a corner, but fine on hard cornering and s curves. I think I have it at about 1/8" toe, but I did not have and slip plates under the front tires so I may be off some. I will check it next time I get a chance. The used V-8 springs have pretty much settled in and the car is finally sitting where I want it! Ride is firm, but not bad from my point of few. I'm running full Urethane bushings set with rubber strut rod bushings and Gabriel gas shocks. Rear suspension is doubled leaves, stock used six cylinder springs, with out double main leave or the smallest one being doubled. Then I have 1.5" rear lowering blocks. Stock hydraulic replacement shocks on rear. I need to swap to spring eye bushings out as they are fairly shot rubber originals. I need to play with pinion angle too. But for now, it is good! I put another 100+ miles on it yesterday. It feels good just to be able to drive it! It'll cruise at 80 mph without any sweat at all. It seems to be getting really good fuel mileage too! I love it! I'm beginning to rethink whether I even want to build the convertible. The American is most everything I wanted. I still haven't figured out why it wouldn't seal as it is one of the new type intended for Fuel injection and I used them on all my EFI stuff and they are fine. But, This one particular clamp on the P/S simply would not seal the return hose! I'm wishing for a bit heavier steering as the 73 Hornet box leaves a bit to be desired in road feel, however the ratio is fine for now and no more drips! >> I also want to add that if anyone uses the one piece 4.0L oil pan gasket put a dab of RTV silicone on EVERY stinking oil pan bolt!
