RE Car Cover

I keep 6 cars outside under car covers. Have been
doing this since the late 80s. I have tried every
fabric ever made for covers and have settled on one
because it protects the best bar none. California Car
Cover (1-800-423-5525) the material you want is called
Superweave and get it in grey for the best sun
protection. Like I said I've tried cotton, Noah,
Evolution I, II, & III, and bar none this material is
the most waterproof out there. I keep my cars under
cover for 6 months or more, take the cover off, hit it
with a damp towel and go. I use CA Car Cover because
they have a good warranty program, never a question
just exchange it. Superweave is warranted for 4
years. I'll tell you up front in the Southern sun it
will not last 4 years none of mine have. But I just
call them up, order a new one (keep your receipt) and
when it comes I send the old one back in the same box.
Guess what they issue a credit on my card for the
full price I paid for the cover no prorating. Hows
that for a deal. You pay for a cover you get 4 years
of use. Order the cover over the phone. Tell the guy
what car you have, what material you want and the
color and then tell him to add a 6 inch skirt. This
will bring the cover down to the bottom of the wheels
leaving just the bottom edge of the tires exposed.
Like I said I have been doing this a long time. Just
ordered a cover this week for a Taurus Wagon I just
bought. Oh by the way I use the same material for
indoor storage too. It stops dust like you would not
believe. This is one material that really works. Now
inexpensive it is not. Notice I said the best not the
cheapest. It will cost about $275 for the cover with
the skirt. If you care about your car and want to
protect it, don't skimp here. One more thing the key
to outside cover use is to keep the cover tight on the
car to prevent wind damage. The cover will come with
2 grommets in the middle. E-mail me and I can explain
how to set the cover up with one string and quick
release that will withstand all but the strongest
hurricane. For those I remove the cover.
