The lifter still has a little spring in it but since the engine's out (this is, of course, the second most expensive phrase, right after "while we're at it"), it's going off to a machine shop to be disassembled, cleaned, and checked out. It's getting a new cam and lifters and if that rocker or push rod is rough looking from the pounding it took, they'll be replaced as well. I intend to completely detail all of the engine accessories to the way they're supposed to be before everything goes back together.

Looks like a collapsed lifter for sure! You might be able to pull that one, take it apart, clean it, reassemble (naturally), and put it back to use. But then replacements are pretty cheap...
