I've been driving my 70 Hornet now for a 8 weeks or so and about 2500 miles.
I have the worst luck with certain parts. I had a new NAPA oil pressure (idiot light) sender fail. And this past weekend I had to change out the drivers-side strut bushing!
It was a new part, I forget the brand installed. Maybe I'm installing them wrong -- I have the cupped washer with the concave side towards the rubber.
I have a completely different design set on my Rambler, with the front washer convex side towards the rubber:
as per instructions in the box; it's a much heavier-looking design than the usual part. But anyways.
ANyways it got crushed and split, ruining toe. Installed a new NAPA part, now I have to get toe set again.
The front end was perfectly aligned. Everything is perfectly square. THe eccentrics are in the center of the range on the bottom with factory-correct settings: 0 camber, something-caster, 1/16" toe. No groans, klunks, loose parts or other craziness. The passenger side is fine, both installed at the same time both from the same box.
