Reading Turbo Maps

Subject: Re: Reading Turbo Maps ?

Good question:
The short answer is "I don't think so". Having said that, someone
will

come up with _www.turbograph101.com_ (http://www.turbograph101.com) -
- so
don't take my word for it. I can tell you that there are so many
variables, that every turbo graph/map will look very different
(unless
the AR, inlet housing, outlet housing, and turbines on both the
exhaust
and high pressure sides are identical). The profiles look like a
Kidney
bean profile to a black-eyed-pea profile. (upside down of course) It
begins to make sense when you look at the pressure side and RPM side
while at the same time considering engine size, compression, # of
cylinders, efficiency of head/combustion chamber design, and
realizing
that this same graph/turbo you are looking at can produce a negative
HP
gain to a triple digit HP gain (different motors, # of ways to
prevent
detonation etc.) It MAY help to slam your finger in the door, while
considering all the variables for divine insight, but I wouldn't
chance
it. Now watch somebody complain that there is no such web site as

_www.turbograph101.com_ (http://www.turbograph101.com) . Ha-Ha-Ha.
(LOL
is so yesterday). SC Tom
