I don't think you want the late 80s Diplomat/New Yorker either, but the earlier Volare/Aspen. Late model uses a pair of torsion bars that look and mount more like a split sway bar -- anchors on one end, then goes across the front and angle back to attach to the lower arm, also acts as a strut rod IIRC. The earlier one has a torsion bar parallel with the subframe. Height can be adjusted on it. At least that's what I think I remember -- maybe someone here has a clearer memory or more recent experience than I. > The thing about the overdrive and what I know now from a considerable > amount of experience with towing with an overdrive is another story and I > will delve into it and explain why I want the gear ratios that I want if > anyone is interested. I'd like to hear more Gary! Like I said (and someone else here), sounds like one heck of a custom tow rig! Makes me think a bit more about a GW instead of an XJ for later... ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
