On the FI system, yeah, no way I'd attempt any mechanical scheme. They all sound exotic and unreliable. Expensive also. Megasquirt and electronic. I have to find more books on turbo-engine design & build. I've got the MacInnes book (thanks John!), it's somewhat dated but it's got the math, but it's light on per-case data, the sort of application-specific rule-of-thumb I like to make the numbers make sense. There's no empirical data in it on general usage patterns, longevity, etc. With this weird block, crank and heads I would build a motor very differently than if I were to put a turbo on my stock 258, for example, which is the line of thinking I've always followed. ====== ====== The JYturbo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx could crack this one.
