I here ya! Worse is "Monster Garage" though. At least Boyd makes an enjoyable car out of 'em (though I'd rather see the more scarce ones preserved or restored, at least left looking somewhat stock -- even if lightly modernized for safer driving). Jesse James usually cuts a perfectly good vehicle up and makes something totally useless out of it! There are exceptions -- the old model Bronco converted into a rock crawler and a 50s Ford wagon converted to a 4x4 beach wagon. At least those vehicles were somewaht useable, though I'd never have cut up either one. Now a late 70s Toyota or even Chevy truck yes -- but one of the models that are starting to get scarce like the late 60s "Baby Bronc" or two door Ford 50s "Woody" wagon (especially a two door!)? Never!! I might even consider cutting up a Grand Wagoneer since they are still rather plentiful, but any AMC or old car I cut up will have to be something that needs a complete going through or has some kind of damage/rust that mak!
es it impractical to restore. That's what makes my 58-62 Classic/Ambo limo idea so difficult! I'd want two cars that have "issues" or were wrecked on opposite ends, with neither a really good resto candidate. The only saving grace is the unit boadies for those years are virtually the same, and it wouldn't be to difficult to graft a 58 to a 62. Would be some styling issues that would have to be blended in with maybe a third parts car and/or some custom work, but could be done.
