There were no sedan deliveries made in the 61-63 body. There were SIX made in 1958 only, three w/glass and three w/solid panels in place of the glass. It's easy to stick a piece of 1/4" hardboard in place of the glass on these cars. The only well done drag car in the 61-63 body that I've seen that really took some craftsmanship is a wheel stander built by a Chevy guy in FL. He was used t working on Chevy IIs and wanted something different. It was Chevy powered, but would be easy to duplicate with an AMC 360. The best part is he kept all front suspension and unit body pretty much stock w/a little extra bracing. It was tubbed in back with a back-half kit welded to the original side rails. I was surprised he kept so much of the original chassis instead of building a completely new frame like most others who modify these cars do. I think it's a shame that the owner didn't take the rarity into account before butchering it into a drag car. Am I the only one who feels this way?
