I had the same thing happen with my old 440 two door sedan. When I put the turbo muffler and 2" exhaust on it had just a little exhaust note -- just enough to notice it wasn't stock. I had one guy look quizzicly at the car then tell me "that thing must really go with that 440 in it!" I just smiled and went about my business. Let the fool wonder! My stroker is just loud enough people wonder about it, and the flames on the car seem to keep most kids from pressing their luck. Of course the 4.6L will hold it's own against unmodified 305 Camaros and 302 Fords, even out-run a couple of those! If they know what they were doing when they modified it and didn't over carburate or cam, well, they don't leave me in the dust, but they do beat a 3700 pound station wagon.
