A: I have seen thieves take the dash off (the vin comes off with the dash) 
and dril the bottoms of the rosettes off, then epoxy the tag to the new dash 
with the tops intact.

I am getting into the final stages of the interior job on my orange Hornet. 
I havent looked or thought about swapping over the original dash Vin. tag 
from that old, warped, crumbling piece of tan crap of a dash to the nice 
used dash I have. Is it screwed or riveted on? This is almost the last part 

of the interior to go in.
