" I think its a model 36 or something. I was just wondering what power
" these can handle? can you tow a trailer with say 2500lbs on it? or
" could you stick say a 200hp 304 V8 in front of it? the original
" engine is a 199 I6. Just day dreaming, so I thought I'd ask, thanks.
wouldn't use an -air-cooled- bw for any heavy lifting. the std auto
with 2bbl 290s and 304s up to '71 was a -water-cooled- aluminum auto,
and with a good cooler that'd be alright for easy towing.
" Oh, and what about the AMC 15, strong/weak ? thanks
likewise. biggest engine the amc15 was ever used with is the 258.
descendant dana 35 is used with some pretty heavy trucks for a little
axle, but it has stronger one-piece axle shafts and hubs.
