I agree with Tom Jennings. If AMC parts is your only business you need to sell products that can make you a living. Tom's reference to percentages makes sense from a business perspective between the no.# of AMC people versus Chevy people buying certain parts. That's like Eddie Stakes said years ago about repo 70 AMX grills and the money needed to tool up for them versus the price and how many people would be willing to pay the price and how many cars were still left would be a loseing deal. Randy G. also complained about small unlicenced business selling parts out of their garages. There are some people with small cottage industries makeing small repo parts or what ever that have regular 9-5 jobs. It's a catch 22. Be glad there is someone making the parts, buy from the AMC venders/cottage venders if you can versus anyone else. I do. As a kid and then going in the Navy for 4 years in the late 60's and then being married with 3 kids in the 70's-80's I drove Ramblers and AMC's ! but never had much money for any of the flash cars or special parts. Now the kids are grown and I have some cash I can afford some of the things I want for my 2 Hornet's. If I neeed it I buy it. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth for making parts for us. If you can use them buy them. This winter I will be building that 360 or 401 I have dreamed of for my bought new 74 Hornet and will finally be able to afford and use some of these new parts.
