After 5 1/2 hours working like a snail in this heat and humidity I finally got some things to fit properly. After 2 hours trying to make the fold down rear seat locking latches to work in my 74 Hornet Hatchback annd almost getting them to work properly yesterday I gave the one that was the problem another try. After an hour of tweaking the seat locks and unlocks and folds down like factory new. Since it is a holiday weekend and the car is at my friends shop and will not be able to work on it till tuesday I decided to do as much work as possible since due to the heat and other personal problems I lost 5 days in the last 2 weeks. Due to health reasons I can't do any lifting or heavy work myself so I pay my friend to do that. He installed the door hinges and pins in the driver door wednesday and did the pass door the week before. I told him I would tweak the door adjustment to save him time since he runs a new business and to save me a few bucks. Now both doors are adjusted and! work better than factory. I also replaced a door hinge plate that a bolt broke off in on the pass door. I need this 3 day holiday weekend to rest from the heat. I have the base cushion for the rear seat out of my garage to clean up over the weekend. I plan on being A/C bound for 3 days. Tuesday the bucket seats come out and the 2 pieces of puke tan carpet so the floor can be painted and Dynamated in preporation of the new carpet being installed. Have a nice weekend all.
