The great thing about this is it is causing investors that are used to paying up for a car to look at AMCs as a great value. This in turn is bringing up the value of our cars. As the values go up and more people with money get into the hobby, more parts will start to appear. Just think, maybe one day you will be able to get more out of your car than it cost you to build. I saw a few AMCs go through the different auctions this year for $50,000+. Why should a low mileage SC Rambler only be worth 1/15 the price of a Hemi Cuda. Here's one that will really stun you: I was down at the Mecum muscle car auction in Belvidere, IL recently and they sold a Hemi Cuda with 7,950 "original" miles on it for, are you ready for this. . . $700,000!! (plus commissions). First of all, that's a ridiculous figure. Second, I'm always very leery of original mileage claims on these cars. It was awfully easy to either disconnect the speedometer cable or reset the odometer on cars of that era. (Not that I would know how to personally of course.)
