All manual brake AMCs that I've seen don't use a bracket. The power booster needs to be moved or tilted to clear the inner fender and/or engine. The manual master usually bolts directly to the firewall. The Pacer might be different, but I don't think so. You should be able to modify the rod from another vehicle or even make one (I've done that before). You just need to play with the length and make sure it's long enough. As long as you have some pedal play but don't hit the floor on full stroke you're fine....
