Baby Blue's blinker switch went out on me. Got the column apart but need to

Any help would be terrific,
All of the old nylon is bad, even NOS. Some plastics just
self-degrade. It's accellerated by temperature, I think, so if
you find some stored in the Arctic or something they might be
"like new".
Been there/done that. I used NOS and replacement parts. None of
them lasted.
You say "went out" -- do you mean the self-canceller or the
switch? YOu can probablt find a used or NOS switch that works,
but the turn-cancellers, forgetaboutit.
If Blazer is having them reproduced, that'll be a big win.
Likewise NOS strut bushings for the 1963 and 1964, a unique part
and none of the old ones will be drivable. I found a fix for that
though.
63 and 64 are unique in that the strut rod is not adjustable on
the front side (like later ones, and Americans) so you can't just
stuff a late-model bushing in it.

You should probably TURN OFF all features in you mail program --
if you can change typefaces, color, type size, bold, etc then your
mail will cause problems on mailing lists...
