I work for Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and am Director of the Art Center Car Classic, our annual concours showcasing the finest in automotive design. I don't know if you are familiar with our College, or with this show, but you can learn more about both at www.artcenter.edu/carclassic. Most of the top automotive designers in the world are graduates of our school (J Mays at Ford, Shiro Nakamura at Nissan, Chris Bangle at BMW, Wayne Cherry at GM, Freeman Thomas at Chrysler and now Ford, Grant Larson at Porsche, Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina, Chip Foose.). This year is Art Center' s 75th anniversary and we are showcasing the work of our alumni at the Car Classic event. Richard Teague, the man behind so many of AMC's designs, was a graduate of our College. We would really like to showcase a 1968 AMC AMX at our show this year in tribute to Dick. Can you please put me in touch with anyone on the west coast who might have such a car? Or someone somewhere else in the country who might be willing to take a road trip? We would love to showcase it at our event. Drop me a line and let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you.
