>Are we actually making suggestions for an AMC car that will be >eventually destroyed in a rally? >Use a Ford instead. >For Shame! No, nothing of the sort Brian. There's a road rally in the Bay Area next Saturday called the Double 500. http://www.californiamille.com/double05press.html It's 500 KM on NorCal back roads in a $500 car. I thought it would be great to have bought a car on eBay, a charity or whatever, fly in from my 2006 Chrysler event in Detroit on Friday, drive the event, then drive it back to SoCal on Sunday or leave it in SF and have a friend try to sell it for me. If it has an aluminum block, as some here seem to believe it has, I would probably keep it because of the rarity and historical significance. Does anyone on the list living in the Bay Area want to help with the logistics and possibly be my co-pilot next Saturday? I think this will make a great off-beat story (Automobile featured last year's event over five pages I believe) so it's a chance to get an AMC some well-deserved ink. Help anyone?
