I think the disc brake booster requires a deeper bracket because the push
rod is longer or something. I am not sure but so far I used nuts on both
sides of the drum booster brackets and it seems to be working. I would like
to see a disc brake booster setup unmolested from the factory to be sure.

What's different about the brackets? I know the drum brakes used a single
diaphragm booster and the discs a dual. The only thing I can think of that
my be different is the bolt pattern on the back of the booster, or the disc
booster is mounted a little higher for clearance because of the larger
diameter.
