RE: [strokers] success!

I had it out for a longer trip on Sunday and while it is not a stroker.
It sure runs good! Was it worth all the time and effort??? :] YES!!!!
It starts instantly and will smoke the 255/60 15's with little or no effort :]
The check engine light is staying on, but there are no noticeable driveabilty effects at all.
I will check it out this evening and see what code it is and see what it needs to get it fixed. I need to shop around for a small gauge package to add . I'm using the Alternator light for the check engine light and I've checked wiht my volt meter and it is charging, but not having seperate coverage to see what is really going on makes me nervous.
I want to add an oil pressure qauge and voltmeter to it.
I also have to grind some more off of my Drivers side strut bracket as it is hitting my "header" :[ I had the end piece clamped on in the first build, so while it was apart I welded it and removed the clamp. It seems I must have turned it slightly and now it hits at times.
All in all though I'm real happy with the out come of this so far.
Oh, It whistles too. :[ typical Cone filter and 3" Wrangler air intake whistle :[
OH, well, Can't win them all. It is only at times and not to bad.
I'm now trying to get a final solution worked out for front springs. I've had them in and out 5 times and it is now sitting at the same height it started!
I'm working with Coil Springs specialties to try and get the right rate and heigth springs wound for it so I can end this battle!
It handles good now, just about an 1" to high for my taste.
I'm running stock six cylinder springs with urethane bushings in the control arms, rubber strut bushings and 205/60 15" tires up front. No sway bar yet.
I'm thinking of staying close to stock spring rate with the urethane bushings and 60 series tires at 44 PSI and adding a sway bar. The ride ride now is firm but acceptable.
I figure if I stiffen up the springs to much it will rattle my teeth out with the Urethane bushings in place! I'll let the tires and the swaybar do the work.
