I am late in responding to this topic, but I have one picture of tri-level rail cars being loaded up in Kenosha. No railroad name is visible - but there are many new Pacers and a two Matador sedans. The picture came from an AMC press release commemorating their 75th anniverary - counting the start of the Rambler production. The picture is part of some history during 1977 on a page about a new '77 Matador a family friend had ordered through Courtesy AMC/Jeep in Bethesda, Maryland. http://faculty.concord.edu/chrisz/hobby/Courtesy/_77Matador.html ******************* Date: Friday, May 13, 2005 04:58 PM From: Ray Mick <rmick@xxxxxxx> My Dad delivered new AMC,s out of Kenosha in the 50-60s for Kenosha Auto Transport. Then Moved to Colorado for Kenosha Auto Transport in 63. The cars were delivered to the rail head in Denver by Union Pacific on tri level cars. The rail workers removed the cars from the trains and parked them in the yard. There the transport workers would get the cars and load them up on the transports. As a 12-13 year old I would help get the cars for my dad to load onto the truck. Got to drive a lot of new AMCs 1/4 mile at a time. If you click on the link on the bottom I have some pictures of my dads truck delivering new AMC,s See my Javelin @ http://community.webshots.com/album/54361408pRyvWE On Friday, May 13, 2005, at 06:33 AM, Jerry Casper wrote: > I am a fan of miniature model railroading as well as > AMC cars, and have accumulated many of the toy Tyco > Autoloader HO bi-level auto rack cars with '68 AMX's > and '68 Camaro's on them.
