I'm looking at an eBay item and the seller has informed me that "we can't ship to Canada at this time", whatever that means. I guess I have to wait for a more suitable time for them to ship to Canada? In this case it's just a brochure so I don't see what the big deal is; throw it in a large envelope and you're done. I don't think printed material presents quite as many customs hassles as other items potentially do. Anyway, is there anyone in the US of A (Pacific Northwest may be best, but I'm not fussy) who wouldn't mind acting as a relay point? Obviously I will compensate for any expenses incurred. I need to confirm with the seller first that this an acceptable arrangement, so this may all be moot if they refuse. Auction ends tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
